Make volatile organic compound (VOC) recovery cost-effective and eco-friendly with a CRYOSOLV™ Cryocondensation System
Removing VOC emissions from chemical, oil and gas processing, and effluent streams—as well as solvent and hydrocarbon storage tanks—can be a costly process. Messer’s state-of-the-art CRYOSOLV™ Cryogenic Condensation System is purpose-built to overcome this challenge. Environmentally friendly and easy to install, the CRYOSOLV™ system is so cost-effective that in many cases it can generate a profit instead of an expense.
The CRYOSOLV™ system utilizes liquid nitrogen (LIN)—which many plants already utilize onsite—to cool the effluent stream, causing the VOCs to condense out. The newly purified emissions then exit your system, but the LIN is preserved as pure gaseous nitrogen (GAN), which can then be repurposed for uses including blanketing, purging, inerting and pressure transfer. As an added bonus, if the CRYOSOLV™ system is cryocondensing a stream that contains only a single VOC (for example, an alcohol, monomer or other solvent) that has monetary value, you can collect that VOC for reuse or sale, further alleviating costs.
The CRYOSOLV™ cryocondensation system requires no CFCs. It operates without ignition or combustion, which a flare would require, can take the load off your thermal oxidizers. It is simple to operate, has no moving parts to maintain, and is available in a variety of sizes and configurations.
Messer also offers installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance services for our CRYOSOLV™ systems for industrial use. Please download the data sheets below or give us a call. We’re ready to help.
