Veteran energy and industrial gases executive to accelerate bulk business growth and innovation
Bridgewater, N.J., U.S., June 1, 2026 – Messer, the world’s largest privately held industrial gases company, today announced that Rick Beuttel has been appointed Senior Vice President, Bulk Sales, for Messer Americas.
Beuttel will lead the company’s U.S. bulk sales organization, with responsibility for advancing commercial strategy, driving growth, and enhancing customer solutions across bulk gases applications. He will oversee direct and application sales while guiding the development of Messer’s bulk commercial and innovation strategies.
Beuttel brings more than three decades of global leadership experience across the industrial gases and energy sectors, with a strong track record of delivering profitable growth, leading complex commercial initiatives, and developing large-scale projects.

Beuttel has an exceptional track record of business development and P&L management across the global industrial gas and energy industries, including significant leadership roles at Air Products, Bloom Energy, and Woodside Energy. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from Lehigh University.
